As September fast approaches, we’re getting ready to attend the Defence and Security Equipment international exhibition (DSEi). Between the 13th and 16th September, we’ll be at the ExCel centre in London meeting professionals at this leading event.

The event will see 1,300 exhibitors presenting new equipment, services and systems to the world’s defence and security industry.  We have a long record as a provider of contract and permanent staff for international and UK defence jobs covering the battlefield, marine and aerospace domains, so exhibiting at the DSEi is a great platform for us to meet and network with new people.

With a client list that includes the MOD, major defence engineering contractors and consortiums, consultants, component vendors and system integrators, we are highly anticipating the opportunity to make contact with the industry’s best talent. The DSEi exhibition presents a rare opportunity to interact with a huge number of defence sector professionals – in fact the last event saw 28,000 attendees.  And whether they’re looking to take on staff or seeking a new career move for themselves, we can’t wait to meet them (more…)

Security clearance guidance poses problems 18/05/2010

You may have seen our recent press release in various publications like Recruiter but in case you didn’t, here’s what you missed!

There have been recent press reports surrounding the issue of asking job seekers whether they have security clearance for a job in advance of offering them the placement- a practice that is against official Cabinet Office guidance. The REC recently said that: “Contract jobs in sensitive areas may require a security clearance; however this should not be seen as a pre-requisite for the posting. In many cases clients can wait for a candidate to be cleared and it is important that these jobs are open to as many contractors as possible.”
