It has been a busy few weeks for us here at CBSbutler, and one particular highlight was the recent Recruitment International Awards where we scooped the prize for ‘Best Company to Work For’ (£40 to £100 million turnover) for the second year running!
Held this year at 8Northumberland on 15th November, the awards celebrate the best the recruitment industry has to offer. As usual, the evening was great fun – made that much better by the win! We work incredibly hard to attract and retain highly skilled consultants so to be recognised by the industry as the employer of choice is a great achievement, and especially so given the tough competition. The annual Recruitment Consultant awards took place last week, and as expected, it was a great event. The awards, like last year were held at top London venue Cafe de Paris and a few of the team headed into London, with everything crossed for a win.
The awards celebrate the top performers in the industry and categories range from ‘Best in-house training’ to ‘Best Consultant’, and ‘Best Marketing Campaign’. This year we were lucky enough to be shortlisted for two of the prestigious awards – ‘Best Medium Recruitment Business’ and ‘Best In-house Training’. (more…)

The annual Recruiter Awards for excellence took place this week, and what a night it was! For the fourth time we took home the trophy for ‘Best Engineering Recruitment Agency’ and we were highly commended in the ‘Best Client Service’ category.
The awards bring together both agencies and in house recruitment teams and celebrates the best achievers over the last twelve months, and there were certainly some great businesses present this year! Our ever growing trophy cabinet may well need an extra shelf soon, but on a serious note winning the award is a huge achievement for us. And one I am incredibly proud of. (more…)

Following the recent news that we won an award at the Toast of Surrey Business Awards, I’m pleased to share with our readers some further good news! We’ve been shortlisted at the annual Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2011.
The awards bring together both agencies and in house recruitment teams and celebrates the best achievers over the last 12 months. We’ve been shortlisted in no less than three categories this year: ‘Best Small Recruitment Agency to Work For’, ‘Best Client Service’ and ‘Best Engineering Recruitment Agency’.
I’m delighted to be shortlisted in these great categories, we work very hard to be an employer of choice, and provide the best level of service to our clients so to be recognised for this is a great achievement in itself. Whilst we are eager to win these awards to add to our ever expanding trophy cabinet, we are up against some tough competition so we know it won’t be an easy task! (more…)

I am delighted to say that we won the ‘Company with a turnover of over £5m’ category at the Toast of Surrey Business Awards on Friday night at the Yvonne Arnaud theatre in Guildford.
The Awards are committed to celebrating the success of businesses and recognise their contribution to the economy, community and prosperity of Surrey and were judged on the basis of excellence in the following areas: Management, innovation, financial performance, customer service, employee development and community awareness.
I am delighted to have won this award, as it is fantastic to be recognised in our local area for the work that we do, which is positively contributing to and supporting Surrey’s economy. (more…)

Each January we hold our annual ‘kick off’ meeting. The whole company attends the off-site get together to celebrate and highlight the 2010 key achievements and the objectives for the year ahead.
It is a good way of sharing experience and knowledge, and communicating honestly and transparently so everyone knows what’s going on, feel involved and part of the team.

Entering industry awards is something we ensure is at the heart of our marketing and PR strategy. They are a great way of enhancing your business profile and performance, and attracting new members of staff and clients who both want to work with the best in the industry. Having a bulging trophy cabinet and a wall full of certificates, like we do at CBSbutler, is absolutely fantastic for staff morale.

CBSbutler were runners up at last night’s Growing Business Awards in the category of People and Performance.
The awards recognise small start up businesses in the UK with between one and 500 employees. The People and Performance category looked at companies that have introduced modern people management practices to transform their commercial performance.

I am delighted to announce that we have won the ‘Best Recruitment Company to Work for £40-£100M’ category at this year’s Recruitment International awards! Another award to add to our ever growing collection!
I am absolutely ecstatic to have won this award, especially as our staff played a part in us winning! I believe we won the category through a mixture of the exceptionally high employee survey results – 92% overall satisfaction rating, the high regard from clients – 72% of them rated the agency better than the competition, plus the stimulating opportunities we offer staff that keeps them happy, dedicated and inspired in their roles. Offering individuals a stimulating career and not just a job is what’s important to us.
